# Supporting Specialized Planning

In addition to the ability to use specific functions via the web application, the Digital Supply Atlas (DVA) provides planners with interfaces that seamlessly integrate methods and tools into specialized work environments. This allows planning processes to be individually adapted, enabling the use of custom data or the import of centralized datasets for further specialized processing.

Currently, we offer an ArcGIS Toolbox that planners can integrate into their existing GIS infrastructure. The toolbox enables a connection to a powerful method server, allowing complex analyses and calculations to be performed directly from ArcGIS. Planned features include E2SFCA methods for assessing the accessibility of facilities. These are among the most realistic models for simulating population access to infrastructures. Additionally, the toolbox provides access to catchment area analyses, offering precise supply range calculations for various facilities with customizable parameters.

With the high-performance method server operated by TU Dresden, for example, 20 million routes can be calculated for realistic catchment area analyses in just 1.5 minutes.

# Additional Features in Development

Although not all features are fully implemented yet, we are continuously working to expand the functionality. The goal is to provide planners with a comprehensive and user-friendly tool that meets the highest standards.

Additionally, a connection to QGIS is planned, allowing users of this open-source platform to access the powerful DVA methods. This will enable the DVA to make a significant contribution to improving public service infrastructure in the future.
